Spot the Difference Teacher Pack

Four classroom sheets for running fair, useful spot-the-difference sessions.

Built for the way the puzzle is actually used in a classroom: children write down what changed instead of circling it, you check the puzzle is fair before you photocopy thirty of them, and the session has a timing plan that survives contact with a real group.

How to print these

  1. 1. Download the sheets you need. Each PDF is a standalone printable — you do not need the whole pack.
  2. 2. Print at 100% scale. Choose 'Actual size' rather than 'Fit to page' so writing lines and boxes keep their spacing.
  3. 3. Black ink is enough. Every sheet is legible in greyscale, which saves colour cartridges for the artwork.
  4. 4. Pair it with the guide. The sheets follow the order of Printable spot the difference: the complete guide.

FAQ

Can I photocopy these for a whole class?
Yes. Print or photocopy as many as you need for your own pupils. The pack is free for classroom and home use; only reselling the PDFs is off limits.
What age group is the pack for?
The tracking sheet and session plan suit roughly ages 5–11. Younger groups can use the tracking sheet with drawings instead of written descriptions; older pupils can be asked to prove a puzzle is complete without being told the count.
Do the sheets work with puzzles from other sources?
Yes. Nothing on the sheets is specific to Colora puzzles — the fairness checklist is a general quality test and the tracking sheet works with any puzzle that has a known difference count.
How is the scorecard scored?
Two points for a difference found unaided, one point with a hint, minus one for a wrong call, and a three-point bonus for the fastest full clear. The rule is printed on the sheet so nobody relitigates it mid-game.
